Well, I've got TiVo set for the premiere of New Amsterdam tonight. Sadly, I'll be in class then watching the UK game afterwards. The article mentions what I have told my wife more than once. The premise for the series sounds a lot like the book Forever by Peter Hamill. I listened to Forever on audio while cataloguing books a few years back. I had hoped that the author was involved in the production of this show, but from the article it doesn't sound that way.
I'll hope for the best.
I did some more research and found an article on
AOL News which discusses more about the Forever/New Amsterdam situation.
"To try and prove anything about this would take thousands and thousands of dollars, which I'd rather spend on my grandson," Hamill said. "You've gotta laugh."
